This Is Not a Love Song, founded in 2013 by the experimental Paloma contemporary music & performing arts centre in collaboration with Come On People, may be new but has quickly earned a reputation as one of the most eclectic indie music festivals in France, attracting unknowns, locals & globally renowned musicians + thousands of indie-alt-pop, electro-rock, nouveau-folk & electroacoustic multi-genre music fans.

Chic, ultra-modern, visually stunning & architectural imposing - that’s SMAC Paloma Scéne de Musiques Actuelles, not merely a venue for TINALS Festival but part of a multidimensional concept uniting state-of-the-art design with advanced digital technologies, and a 5,000 m2 indoor space including 2 auditoriums + an outdoor chill-zone + open areas for stages, space for throngs of fans + on-site concessions, facilitating the multifaceted philosophy behind Paloma Project.

It’s non-elitist experimentation, independent programming + a physical location to foster innovation with an open-minded approach to musical genre exploration & nurturing new talent. The creative team takes discovering artists seriously and is dedicated to promoting up-and-comers via pro-hosted workshops, a year-round outreach program, employing the Paloma building as a place to foster creativity and also where artists can do residencies in situ, promoting headliners & unknowns through a collaboration with Come On People, and organizing bold line-ups of unconventional headliners at This is Not a Love Song music festival in Nîmes.
