About

SITG Festival: Splendy Bendy

Locals call it Splendy Bendy, and though it’s officially just 3 days, campers rush to set up camp 2 days before kick-off to get into the Splendour spirit. While big headliners pull the mosh-pit frenzied crowds, SITG is also about participant creativity, self-expression & mind expanding activities at sepearte areas that include Splendour Forum where politicians, activists, & innovators act as discussion hosts, Splendour Comedy Club where silly fun & thought-provoking laughs unfold in an intimate tent for about 500 guests, and Splendour in the Craft where festivalgoers can get creative with crafts. It has global Who’s Who celeb line-ups & arts, but Splendour’s ambiance isn’t artsy or uppity, it’s relaxed, ideal for basking in the sun on grassy knolls or indulging in debauchery that overflows from on-site vendor booths, bars & cocktail tents serving up everything from bubbly brew & wine to hard liquor & tasty eats.

Global Village

Global Village is for chilling & treating yourself to an eclectic array of eccentric subculture events like meditating and chanting with Tibetan monks, practicing yoga, taking salsa-dance or art classes, engaging in circus play, attending evening cabaret shows, participating in late night jam sessions or feeling the dance vibe at a silent disco.

Tipi Forest

Tipi Forest transports revellers into a trance of personal freedom in a sanctuary for celebration where interactive art & spirited performers inspire and encourage self-expression thorough dance and art amidst the Byron Shire rainforest surrounded by nymph-like acrobats, fire jugglers and underground-alternative EDM beats including techno, trance,  glitch hop, drum ‘n bass, reggae, funk, nu disco, dance hall and jungle.

Splendour is Australia’s No. 1 festival for music & debauchery in Byron Bay!
