Nashville Film Festival is the oldest festival in the American South & one of the oldest in the country, featuring nearly 200 productions from around the world, including experimental, horror & foreign, selected from over 3,500 submissions, attracting thousands of film buffs & moviemakers throughout the 10 day celebration. Regal Cinema complex acts as a base for indoor screenings, ticketed events & galas, while free outdoor theater is presented via projections onto a 13 meter screen at events like Walk of Fame & Movies In The Park.

Susan Sarandon (Thelma & Louise), Matthew McConaughey (Interstellar), William Shatner (Star Trek), Robert Redford (All the President’s Men), and Michael Moore (Bowling for Columbine) have been amongst the list of celeb guests + the Mike Curb Lifetime & Career Achievement Awards have recognized talents like Kris Kristofferson (Blade, A Star is Born) & Award-winning composer Gustavo Santoallala (Brokeback Mountain, The Book of Life).

For honouring underrepresented minorities and offering prizes for best LGBT movies & awards for best Black & Hispanic films, NaFF itself has received many accolades and come to be regarded as one of the Top 50 Film Festivals in the World (by California’s MovieMaker / the Brooks Institute).

Writer’s Conference

Writers, selected from amongst winning screenplay submissions, are offered a chance to pitch to Hollywood producers, executives, agents & managers, and are invited to participate in a 3-day conference with some of Hollywood’s best writers who host panel discussion & workshops. Hosts have included Jeb Stuart (Die Hard, The Fugitive), Max Borstein (Godzilla), and Phil Hay (Clash of the Titans).
