Ambient: Electro-Audio-Visual

Ambient Music festival is 2 days of avant-garde, alternative, neoclassical, experimental, electro-acoustic, ambient electronic music and audiovisual installations. It’s an underground event featuring international and Polish composers, producers, programmers, animators, audiovisual artists, cinematographers, choreographers, experimental vocalist and live performers - blending ancient with modern, acoustic with electronic. Concerts and media shows are presented to an audience of about 400 guests at the auditorium in Gorlickie Centre of Culture in Gorlice - a quaint city nestled amidst the lower Carpathian Mountains (Beskid Niski) about 40 km from the historic town of Nowy Sącz in the Małopolskie region - 128 km from Kraków city in Poland.

Ambient: Electro-Audio-Visual

If you haven’t heard of Ambient Music Festival it’s not because it’s new. It’s been around since 1999, but you may have missed it because it’s a small underground event that primarily features independent Polish avant-garde, alternative digital masters who work with non-genre specific sounds, from neoclassical to experimental electro-acoustics, delivering presentations including vocals, ambient electronics and audiovisual installations. Ambient is the place to go to discover forward-thinking composers – Polish and international electronic music producers, programmers, film-makers, animators, theatrical composers and audiovisual artists.

Programmers & Producers

Some Ambient headliners have included: Richard Pinhas of Heldon, Andrew Lagowski - S.E.T.I.,  film-soundtrack producer Michel Banabila, programmer-producer-artist Dariusz Makaruk, Tomasz Stanko & Vladimir Kiniorski, Rafal Iwanski of HATI music-ritual meditation & improvisation performing as Capital,  Radoslaw Kaminski who delves into ambient & dark ambient forms in a sonic exploration of the inner self, and theatrical composer Maciej Hanusek aka MUZYKA SFER. Ambient Festival isn’t a wild EDM party with the hottest Polish DJs, but a series of concerts for a few hundred people in an auditorium at the Gorlice city cultural centre,  amidst the lower Carpathian Mountains, about 40 km from the quaint town of Nowy Sącz and 128 km from Kraków Poland.
